N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC)

This is an antioxidant which has been shown to help increase glutathione (which is most likely your body’s most powerful antioxidant). Some research also suggests that NAC supplementation may limit the increase of oxidized glutathione in the blood, thus allowing blood levels of glutathione to remain stable during exercise. Another study suggests that it may help support lean body mass in intensely training athletes. Dosages range from 500 mg-1000 mg taken daily in divided doses.
